The Treasure Hunt
- Find Treasures to get rewarded for watching
other members sites.
- Duration: Daily.
- Surf as many sites as you can, and don't miss the
treasures.
- Rules in brief - Watch as you surf and
claim the treasures to prove you are watching.The more sites you surf, the more treasures you find and the more unique sites you
have in rotation, the higher your earning ratio will be. Your Earning Ratio (ER:) is displayed in your surf bar as you surf.
Base: It starts the day with the bonus credits that you received from the previous day and then is incremented by one point for every time you view another members site.
AS: This is the number of Active Sites you have approved and actively rotating.
If you pause all your sites, or have no active sites in rotation, then your earning ratio is set at the minimum for your membership level. You are rewarded for contributing to site variety.
The more active URLs you have in rotation, the greater your potential earnings.
Keep your sites interesting, fast loading and attractive.
The treasures found can not be greater than the number of active sites you have in rotation, so it is strongly recommended that you make sure you have at least 25 active sites, preferably more.
CT: This is the number of treasures that you have claimed. There is a maximum of 20 treasures that can be claimed each day. Each treasure claimed can add 5% to your earning ratio. Free members start at 40% and can reach a maximum of 140% while paid members start at 80% and can reach a maximum of 180%
ER: This is the best part. For every treasure found, your Earning Ratio increases by one point. (provided that you have enough active sites)
As a free member you earning ratio is 40%. That is you earn 0.4 credits for every site surfed. For each treasure you find, your ratio increases by 5% to a maximum of 100% or 1 credits for every site visited. Pro members start at 80% and reach 140% when they find the 12th treasure.
NOTE: Your Earning Ratio is calculated based on both your Active Sites and your Claimed Treasures. The lowest number is used. So if you plan on finding all 12 treasures then make sure you have 12 or more active sites!
The incentive is to find treasures early in the day and surf as much as possible while your ratio is at its' maximum. Ratios are reset at midnight Server time.
- Note:
The treasure contest is designed to encourage members to watch as they surf. If you do not watch and you miss more treasures than you claim, your ER is set to the minimum level, you are removed from the leader board and you receive no bonus at the end of the day. If for example you claim 5 treasures, but miss 5 or more, then your benefits are lost un till you claim at least 2 more treasures. This allows you to redeem yourself should you forget to pause when you answer the phone, but is designed to stop members from surfing in their sleep.
